Sustainability isn’t easy but EASE is here to help!

SEEd is delighted to announce the launch of the Evidence Alliance for Sustainability Education – EASE

An EASE Launch Event is being held for SEEd members on Thursday 8th June, 11am – 2pm at London South Bank University.
There will be two hours of talks and discussions followed by an hour for networking and lunch.

There are only 30 places available at the event so please email Poppy on ssacoordinator@se-ed.org.uk to book your place.

So what is EASE all about?

SEEd recognises that there is a huge amount of good work taking place but no coherent story demonstrating the impact and importance of environmental education (EE) and education for sustainability (EfS). SEEd is committed to capacity building and an integrated vision for Learning for Sustainability; funders and UN agencies (e.g. UNESCO) are also becoming more and more interested in supporting scaling up and embedding the work, rather than endless pilots and new programmes.

As a sector, we know the evidence is out there and SEEd has gathered 100’s of documents already with plenty more to find. A meta-review needs to be conducted and the capacity of the EE and EfS sector needs to be built. Understanding how to use evidence to influence and persuade will be crucial to the success of this work.

EASE is a new project being launched by SEEd open to up to 60 members to join and contribute to the alliance. There will be unique support for and involvement of grassroots activity but with academic and expert partners to ensure rigour.
