Bright Green Future are a unique new programme with an exciting mission to support teenagers aged 14 to 18 who want to create a more sustainable future for our planet. The programme, funded by the Big Lottery, will last 5 years with each cohort receiving two years worth of training, support and contact from mentors at Bright Green Future.
The young people involved in the programme will be supported to set-up and run at least one environmental project in their local town, village or neighbourhood. Their website features a range of different ideas of environmental actions which young people might take, from water saving and community gardening, to tree planting and making a film. Young people involved in the programme will also participate in a summer school, a series of webinars, and face-to-face trainings.
If you think you know a young person who might be interested in the project, get in touch with Bright Green Future for more information.
