Swallowtail Hill is a family run farm in the Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. They have 40 acres of wildflower meadow and woodland that are managed purely for conservation and offer the perfect setting for holidays, special celebrations and outdoor learning. It is based in East Sussex, just north of the historic town of Rye.
Swallowtail Hill is all about conservation. They say they aren’t just doing the work they do for fun or for their benefit; they are doing it for future generations. Many visitors to the farm come to learn more about the conservation work they do there. The farm runs an educational programme to try and educate people about conservation.
They welcome school trips as well as visits from special interest groups wishing to study the flora and fauna. Swallowtail Hill also runs a Forest School, which offers children the opportunity to connect with nature and be inspired to learn outside the classroom.
