The Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) is the UK’s foremost gardening charity, helping and inspiring millions of people to garden. They were established to share the best practice in gardening. Their aim is to enrich everyone’s lives through plants, and make the UK a greener and more beautiful place.

The RHS Campaign for School Gardening aims to encourage and support schools to create and actively use a school garden. Whether a school is just starting out or looking to develop an established garden the Campaign’s website, containing downloadable resources, lesson plans and regional news, is there to help.

When a school registers they will receive a free starter pack containing gardening goodies to get them growing. Prizes like books, seeds and vouchers can also be won as the school’s garden develops.  Over 15,000 schools are already benefitting from this hands-on learning approach.

The RHS strongly believes gardening creates happier, healthier children with the essential skills they need to fulfill their potential.
