Plymouth University are one of the world’s leading Higher Education institutes in sustainability education. Their award-winning Centre for Sustainable Futures supports staff and students to bring sustainability into the very heart of their learning experience.
Plymouth joined as a member of SEEd in September 2016. Over the course of the next year, our work together will look at the opportunities presented by the Sustainable Development Goals. In particular, we will explore how the Goals can enable HE institutions to further embed sustainability education across their campus, curriculum, and community.
For a number of years, Plymouth have been producing cutting-edge research and developing innovative approaches to sustainability education. As a Key Partner on UNESCO’s Global Action Programme for ESD, SEEd will collaborate with Plymouth to ensure this work reaches new audiences and forms part of a global evaluation on the progress of Education for Sustainable Development.
