Outdoor and Sustainability Education Specialists (OASES) has been successfully delivering and promoting outdoor learning and global sustainability education for over 15 years across the north east of England.
OASES’ team of Outdoor And Sustainability Education Specialists work together to provide:
- CONSULTANCY SERVICES – OASES deliver teacher training and support as well as Pupil Sessions. These services can be accessed at your own school, at the EWE Centre, or at one of their partner sites (for example, Hamsterley Forest).
- FUNDED DELIVERY – They raise funds and bid for monies to enable young people to engage with the environment through outdoor learning and to empower them to make sustainable choices, building a better and brighter future for all.
Staff are accredited in the following programmes; Forest Schools; Beach Schools; Learning Through Landscapes, Connecting Classrooms and the Global Learning Programme.
OASES is home to the North East Strategic Partnership for Sustainable Schools (NESPSS) a programme that seeks to coordinate organisations from across the north east region to better support schools with sustainability education. This work stream has been supporting organisations in the region since 2004. NESPSS is a board member of the Sustainable Schools Alliance.
