Friends of the Earth’s Youth and Education Network exists to enable Friends of the Earth local group members and supporters who want to work with young people to do so effectively and safely. Interested people can join, take child protection training, sign up for training events and find resources to use. Members are kept up to date with news on what Friends of the Earth is doing with young people.

Many Youth and Education Network members go into schools and youth clubs to run sessions. Schools can also sign up to receive resources and news about how the Network can help them.

The aims of the Youth and Education Network are:

  • To further Friends of the Earth’s aims for a sustainable world by engaging with, empowering and inspiring young people and those who live and work with them.
  • To campaign on issues that will affect young people and their chances of playing a part in a sustainable future, both with young people and on their behalf.

Members go into schools, youth clubs, scout and guide groups and run stalls at events in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. They educate young people about the environment and inspire them to help to protect our world.
