The Development Education Centre South Yorkshire works with teachers and many others involved in education to promote a development and global perspective in the curriculum. They are passionate about global learning.
Using active learning methods based on enquiry into issues and ideas, DECSY aims to help and inspire people to develop the skills and commitment to work together to bring about a more just and sustainable world.
DECSY is organised by its members. These include aid and development agencies, campaign groups, community and religious organisations, educational bodies and individuals. It is run by education workers, resources and advice workers, administrators, project workers and volunteers. An executive committee of volunteer members has overall responsibility for the Centre.
