Developing the knowledge, skills and competencies to allow all young people to make sustainable informed choices as well as feel able to develop sustainable ways of living and working is essential. How to do this effectively is what is of concern to SEEd.
There has been much practice that has developed since the late 1980′s in pilots and in small scale projects. The challenge is to help all educators engage with good practice and all young people to have access to this.
SEEd has run and been part of many stakeholder workshops on ESD Pedagogy and Curriculum and is developing programmes to take the work forward.
SEEd has now launched its Sustainability Curriculum project under the SSA for teachers, educators, NGOs and others. Extensive consultation and ideas of how to make this happen and how to engage with mainstream schools are always welcome. The launch event happened on March 20th 2012 and 110 people attended!
